North Carolina

Cervical Cancer-Free North Carolina (CCFNC) is a statewide initiative with a vision to reduce cervical cancer in our state. This collaborative effort aims to unite public, private, academic, and community partners in promoting HPV vaccination, screening, testing and treatment. By working together to promote scalable and effective approaches, CCFNC is improving cervical cancer policies, programs, and outcomes throughout North Carolina.

At the 2013 North Carolina Cervical Cancer Coalition Summit in Raleigh, North Carolina, key stakeholders evaluated ways to improve health programs and systems for cervical cancer prevention. In preparation for the Summit, CCFNC prepared a report on the status of cervical cancer prevention in North Carolina.  The report presents data from coalition partners on cervical cancer burden, screening and vaccination, as well as opportunities for recommendations to strengthen cervical cancer prevention efforts.
