Authors: Brigette Frett, Myra Aquino, Marie Fatil, Julia Seay, Dinah Trevil, Michèle Jessica Fièvre, Valentine Cesar, Erin Kobetz

These two educational short films discuss cervical cancer prevention through HPV vaccination and Pap testing for a Haitian audience. These films were written and produced by a Haitian writer and star Kreyol-speaking actors, incorporating medical and public health information shared by partners at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The films’ storyline follow a Haitian family dealing with a cervical cancer diagnosis and discusses options for screening and prevention, with a goal to convey how cervical cancer can be detected and prevented early. These videos are intended to appeal to a broad Haitian audience and are being disseminated to the community through local organizations in Little Haiti, Miami, as well as to other audiences around the world via the Internet to promote awareness and action on cervical cancer.
