Dr. Alix Casler is a pediatrician who has been in practice at Physician Associates in Central Florida for 20 years. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Central Florida College of Medicine, The Florida State College of Medicine, and The University of Florida. She has been working in Quality Improvement for several years, having studied at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Cambridge Massachusetts. In 2014, she assumed the role of Medical Director for Quality of Orlando Health Physician Enterprise, Outpatient Division, a group of over 400 practitiadultoners. Her quality improvement projects have encompassed Pediatric Asthma, HPV immunization rates, flu vaccine and pneumococcal immunization initiatives, care pathway development for adult diabetes, among others. Her current focus is in outpatient pediatrics. She was the 2014 recipient of the William B. Hornick teaching award which is the highest honor awarded clinical faculty by the UCF College of Medicine.
