Goals

Cervical Cancer-Free Coalition (CCFC) global goals:

  1. To increase HPV vaccination among young female adolescents
  2. To increase cervical cancer screening among women who have not been screened or are overdue for screening
  3. To ensure continuity to treatment for women with cervical abnormalities

All activities are conducted in accordance with national guideline recommendations in each partner country.

Cervical Cancer-Free America (CCFA) goals:

  1. To increase HPV vaccination among young adolescents ages 11-18
  2. To increase cervical cancer screening among women ages 25-65 who are overdue for screening

CCFA’s goals are in line with the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), and the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) screening guidelines for the prevention and early detection of cervical cancer:

· For women 21 to 29 years of age, screening with cytology alone every 3 years is recommended. HPV testing should not be used to screen women in this age group.

· Women ages 30 to 65 years should be screened with cytology and HPV testing (“cotesting”) every five years (preferred) or cytology alone every three years (acceptable).
